We don't talk about death enough, it's adds to people's fear, I think... I have no idea what happens but my only worry about dying is the effect on those left behind. I love reading about changing beliefs over time, and your writing is always soothing somehow. Going to try your game now! Congratulations on creating that too!

Great stuff Niall. Perhaps because I’ve been trying to read Marcus Aurelius’sMeditatons, where he mentions death a lot,but I’ve also been thinking about it.

What’s probably worth considering too, in terms of your legacy, is if you were tell your younger self that you’d go on to write loads poems and essays and.... you’d made a game for the Game Boy! Would he be satisfied with your life’s work?

He would definitely be more impressed with the gameboy thing.

I enjoy reading the stoics too, especially M.A's "Begin each day..." instruction. Epictetus's Enchiridion is a fave of mine too.

Hi Mark, I find this really interesting. I suspect that being religiously indoctrinated as a child might lead to a lot more musing on death, particularly on those that eventually lose their faith. Whereas people who weren’t brought up in a particular faith tend not to spend as much time trying to figure out the truths surrounding their mortality. Would this match up with your experience or am I miles off the mark?

That’s also the first computer game I’ve played in about 5 years

On a non-related note, how do I get your podcast back into my apple podcasts feed? I had it before and then everything on that app got deleted.
